Queen over Queen bunk beds are surging in popularity

At least that has been the case for us. We see a lot of them going into vacation homes, Airbnbs, and VRBOs as that market is hot and people are eager to get out. The more safe sleeping spots you have, the more guests you can accomodate. We emphasize safety and strength here as most owners want a low maintenance solution. Guests are not always the most careful or gentle when they and their families are settling in after a busy and tiring vacation day. That being said, we also see these larger sizes being used for older kids at home,in both the queen loft bed and queen bunk beds configurations. It seems parents and the older kids just like to spread out more. We've even had inquiries about king loft and bunk products!

For more traditional vacation spots and homes, wood is the more popular choice. Often this material fits in better with the design and style. When it somes to the latest innovations and styles, the big trade shows are the place to look. The High Point Market in High Point, North Carolina is on most professional's calendars twice year. It is the largest furnishing industry trade show in the world. It expands into over 180+ buildings, with 12 million square feet of show space, 75,000 attendees per market, 2,000+ exhibitors, 100+ countries (10% of attendees are international), and tens of thousands of new product introductions. Can't make it or just curious as a consumer, check out their summary of  interesting new furniture products as well as trends. Pro-tip, if you want contact information for or want to check on the legitimacy of a manufacturer or vendor, start at the High Point exhibitor list. This is not the final say, but a good start because the show is so highly regarded and widely attended.

Another popular trade show, that also happens twice a year, is the Las Vegas Market. This show encompasses gifts, furniture, bedding, lighting, flooring, and home decor from over 4,000 brands. You'll find buyers, retailers, designers, architects, purchasing companies, specifiers in the home furnishings, gift, and design trades in attendance. There is 5.4 million square feet of both permanent showrooms and temporary exhibits. They also conveniently provide a  list of brands and exhibitors. Las Vegas Market has new online marketplace for home, gift, and lifestyle industries.

Many of the trade shows were heavily impacted by COVID-19 and 1 of the things that fell out of that was a beefed up online presence. If you are simply curious, you can find a lot of information and do a lot of research online.
