Beatrice Queen over Queen Bunk Bed: Dimensions, Storage & Ladder Options

Need two queen beds without filling the room with two separate bed frames? Our Beatrice Queen over Queen Bunk Bed brings both sleeping spaces together in a white, cottage-style design. It has a queen bed on top and a queen bed below, making it a useful option for shared bedrooms, guest rooms, and vacation homes. Rubberwood is a hardwood. In our Beatrice, that hardwood construction works with three-inch square posts and wooden center supports to provide an eight-hundred-pound weight capacity per bed.

Beadboard panels complete the cottage look. The bed measures sixty-six inches wide, eighty-seven inches long, and seventy-one inches high. Measure your ceiling height and leave room for ladder access and any underbed option. Both bunks take standard queen mattresses. Choose a mattress no thicker than eight inches for the top bunk to preserve guardrail clearance. We also recommend eight inches or less below to keep more space between the beds.

Choose an angled ladder or a short vertical ladder. Either can go on the right or left, so you can plan access around your room. For everyday storage, add the optional pair of drawers with a cubby. The drawers have dovetail joinery and full-extension glides. Or choose an optional Twin XL or Full XL storage trundle. It gives you another sleeping space and can also be used with dividers for storage.
