Need a bedroom to do more than hold a bed? Our Kivik Sand Full Size Loft Bed with Stairs combines a full-size sleeping space with storage at both ends. The full bed sits above an open area underneath. The Sand finish keeps the look coordinated across the bed, stair unit and storage chest. The stairs include four drawers. They give you places for everyday belongings right beside the steps that lead up to the full bed.
The bottom stair drawer is extra deep, giving you more space for bulkier items. Plan room in front of the stairs to open the drawers. At the other end, the included chest has four more drawers. That makes eight drawers altogether: four in the stairs, and four in the chest. The chest unit also has three shelves. Use the drawers for things you want tucked away, and the shelves for books or frequently used belongings.
The stairs and chest unit can be set up in reverse. Think about which end works best for stair access, nearby doors and the rest of your furniture. The loft measures fifty-seven and a half inches wide, ninety-nine inches long, and sixty-eight and a half inches high. Start with those dimensions. Then allow space for ceiling clearance, the stair approach and opening the drawers. Check doorway access, too. Product dimensions are only the starting point for a usable room.
There are fifty-two inches of clearance beneath the loft. Think about how you want to use that area, while keeping access to the shelves and drawers. The upper full bed has a four-hundred-pound weight capacity. We recommend a mattress no more than ten inches thick. Two full-length guardrails and Euro-slats are included. A lower full bed is an optional addition, rather than part of this loft configuration.
