What is a Murphy Bed?
A Murphy Bed or Murphy Bed Cabinet is a stylish and convenient way to have additional sleeping space for guests. It starts as a cabinet which looks like an accent chest. But hidden inside, it folds out into a standard length horizontal murphy bed, most complete with a storage drawer underneath for storing bedding. They come in several finish options and styles to coordinate with any type of décor. Weight capacities range from 600lbs to 800lbs per bed making our murphy beds strong and sturdy.
What rooms can I use Murphy Beds in?
Our murphy cabinet beds can be used in any room where you may be sleeping overnight guests such as vacation homes, Airbnbs and VRBOs. When it is not in use, it only takes up the footprint of a cabinet making it ideal for any room, whether it is a bedroom, guest room, or even a living room. A murphy bed is more convenient than a pull out couch or futon as you get the extra sleeping spot without sacrificing being able to use other furniture in the room.
What size is the best Murphy Bed for me?
When choosing a size for murphy beds, there are a few things to consider. You’ll want to be sure your space will accommodate the bed when it is open. The number of people you are trying to sleep is also a factor. For example, if you are going to be using it in a kids room and only sleeping 1 person, then the best choice would be a twin size or twin xl murphy bed. If you are going to be using it in a guest room to sleep multiple people, then the best choice would be a full size murphy bed or our most popular option, a queen murphy bed.
